India becomes 42nd WA Participating State, 8 Dec. 2017



As noted in the WA 2017 Plenary Chair’s Statement of 7 December 2017:

“Confirming that the WA’s existing membership criteria continue to apply, WA Participating States reviewed the progress of a number of current membership applications and agreed at the Plenary meeting to admit India which will become the Arrangement’s 42nd Participating State as soon as the necessary procedural arrangements for joining the WA are completed.”

 

Ambassador Renu Pall, Permanent Representative of India to the International Organisations in Vienna, completed the exchange of letters on 8 December 2017 in Vienna with the 2017 Plenary Chair of the Wassenaar Arrangement, Ambassador Jean-Louis Falconi of France, formalising India’s membership of the Wassenaar Arrangement.
